CPD - Advancing human rights claims before international fora - 21 November, 2016

List Member Rishi Gulati, in his practise in international law, has advanced claims on behalf of individuals before several international tribunals and fora, including on behalf of Baby Gammy before the UN Human Rights Committee. In this CPD, Rishi will discuss the range of options that claimants may have when seeking to pursue international justice, including at the UN Committee Against Torture and the UN Human Rights Committee. Rishi will shed light on the procedural steps that are necessary before claims may be raised at the international level, including discussing the rule on the exhaustion of domestic remedies. This CPD is open to all members of the legal profession, law students and those with an academic interest in international human rights .
