The Legal Profession Uniform Law & Solicitors' Conduct Rules

Date uploaded:

Description:

When the Legal Profession Uniform Law came into effect on 1 July 2015 so too did the new Conduct Rules made on 26 May 2015 under the new Uniform Law by the Legal Services Council. The new Rules regulate the ethical conduct of legal practitioners only in New South Wales and Victoria. Whilst other legislation imposes duties or obligations which may fall under the general description of ethical standards or requirements, it  is  the  Conduct  Rules  which  are  the  primary regulatory source of ethical duties and obligations.
