Huw practises in commercial and public law.

Huw has particular expertise in administrative law, contract law, equity and statutory interpretation. He is experienced in defending regulatory proceedings, including proceedings brought by the ACCC, ASIC and State regulators.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Huw was a solicitor in the commercial litigation group at Minter Ellison and was Associate to the Hon Justice Moshinsky of the Federal Court of Australia. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (history major) from the University of Melbourne.

As a solicitor, Huw was involved in litigation in the Supreme Courts of Victoria and New South Wales, the Federal Court and the High Court. He frequently provided written advice, including advice on competition and consumer law and constitutional matters. Huw also acquired particular expertise in the gaming and wagering industries and acted in several significant cases in those industries.

As an Associate at the Federal Court, Huw was exposed to all stages of the litigation process, including interlocutory applications, trials and Full Court appeals.
