Andrew Strum QC was admitted to practice in 1992 and signed the Bar Roll in 1993.
Prior to signing the Bar Roll, he was the Legal Associate to the Honourable Justice Steven Strauss, a Judge of the Appeals Division of the Family Court of Australia.

Andrew practises in all areas of the family law / de facto jurisdictions, including pre-trial applications, trials, appeals, mediations / arbitrations and advice.

He has written and presented papers on a range of family law related topics, including forum non conveniens, bankruptcy, third parties, superannuation and Jewish divorce law: see "Jewish Divorce in Australian Family Law: The Enforceability of Jewish Nuptial and Prenuptial Contracts," (1991) Mon. U.L. Rev. 182; "Jewish Divorce: What can the Civil Courts Do?" (1993) 7 Aust. Journal of Family Law 225; and "Getting a 'Gett' in Australian Courts" (1997) 12 Australian Family Lawyer (No. 1) 21.

Andrew is a member and past secretary of the Family Law Bar Association.

Andrew has been recognised as a Leading Family Law Queen's Counsel in Victoria (Doyles Guide, 1 December 2016).
