Danny was an articled clerk at Galbally & O'Bryan in 1980.  He then worked as a solicitor at that firm (mostly personal injury plaintiffs) and later at Phillips Fox (mostly personal injury defendants) before travelling and living overseas from 1984 to 1989.  He returned to Melbourne in 1989 and read with Tom Wodak.  He signed the Bar Roll in 1990.  He was appointed senior counsel in 2011.

He practices mostly in personal injury, professional negligence, insurance and administrative law.
