The following cases are for the accused when criminal, and mostly the plaintiff if civil. Sex trials and appeals have been prominent recently. Victims need to be properly compensated in civil trials. In criminal trials, the stakes are extremely high, the trials are technical, and difficult, and the criminal justice system can be very hostile for an accused facing such a trial. It is vital to confront a well resourced prosecution with a better defence team. In criminal litigation it is not the time to cut corners.
