As a seasoned legal executive with two decades of experience, Andrew Turner has consistently demonstrated his ability to manage intricate, time-sensitive, and high-profile cases by assembling formidable legal teams with the necessary expertise. Overseeing Australia's largest list of barristers, Andrew has access to an incredibly diverse group of specialized counsel, skilled in all areas of law.

Andrew takes great pleasure in advising solicitors considering their next career move as they explore opportunities at the Bar. Passionate about building relationships, He is open to confidentially discussing possibilities with a personalized approach.

Andrew brings an innovative and dynamic attitude to the industry, as well as solid management skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. He is deeply involved in list management, business development, and practice management, while personally selecting top talent to join the list. In this role, Andrew is crucial to the company's progress and expansion.

As a firm believer in continuous learning, Andrew chose to pursue an MBA to enhance his management skills, motivated by his thirst for knowledge.

Andrew’s commitment to excellence extends to his personal life as well. He is an active volunteer member of the highly trained rescue team, SES (State Emergency Services), having assisted in the Black Saturday fires and managing flood response in Northwest Victoria. In his leisure time, he enjoys participating in ultra-endurance events and have competed in over 300, such as Melbourne's 100km OXFAM and a 270km self-supported foot race through the Amazon Jungle, regarded as the world's most challenging race of its kind. He also holds the course record for the gruelling 96km Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea.

Well-respected for his ability to unite individuals from various backgrounds, Andrew is devoted to knowledge sharing across sectors through extensive networking opportunities and enduring partnerships.

Beyond his professional work, studies, sporting and charity undertakings, Andrew also sit on the board of a privately-owned agriculture corporation as a Director.

Anna has been with Foley’s since 2016 and brings with her a wealth of experience to the team. As a Barristers’ Clerk, she prides herself in having an ever-optimistic outlook and enthusiasm in providing excellent service to Barristers, Solicitors and all those she encounters in the legal community.

With over a decade of experience within the legal industry, Anna possesses an innate understanding of the complexity of relationships and matters that arise at the Bar. She obtains great career satisfaction in assisting Barristers in all stages of their career and is always honoured to see those excel in their chosen field.

Prior to Foley’s, Anna worked as registrar at the Magistrates’ Court in various locations around the state. Her extensive experience provided her a wide-ranging knowledge in Court operations and multiple jurisdictions. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration.

In addition to her work, Anna is kept busy with family-life, her son Max as well as the newest addition to her family (Name TBA, Watch this space!). When she has the time, Anna is a fan of all musicals and enjoys cheering on the Melbourne Football Club.

Daniel brings with him over a decade of experience in the legal field, bringing a diverse array of experiences.

Having worked as a registrar of the Magistrates’ and Children’s Courts, a paralegal at the Child Protection Litigation Office and a Legal Assistant at the Transport Accident Commission, Daniel’s broad range of experiences has seen him successfully building relationships with judicial members, barristers, solicitors, members of the public and even children.

Working with a diverse range of groups, Daniel has always prided himself on understanding others, building relationships and bridging gaps between himself and those he works with in order to succeed and empower others and himself.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys weight lifting, bike riding and making the most of his time with friends and family.

Profile

Maree joins Foley’s List and brings over 11 years’ legal experience in both the private and public legal sectors.

Maree started her legal career at Stary Norton Halphen, where she gained invaluable experience working alongside several different lawyers and partners of the firm.

After six years, Maree moved to Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) and quickly established herself in management positions across various different teams which has allowed her to develop people management, problem-solving and project managements skills having also participated in various court pilots and improvements in Criminal Law Services.

Bringing many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the important relationship between barristers and solicitors, Maree is thrilled to be joining the highly regarded team at Foley’s List and looks forward to starting her new career and building new relationships.

Maree is passionate about social justice initiatives and indigenous culture. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring new dining experiences and re-decorating things in her home.

Dak came to Foley's five years ago from a logistics and supply chain background, bringing a wealth of experience in efficient and timely service delivery.

Over this period, Dak has gained in depth knowledge to the importance of seamlessly running a barristers’ administration practice, making him well equipped to step up to the clerking role.

Dak maintains and values good rapport as well as trust among our barristers and understands the individual needs of their practices.

Outside of work he enjoys live music and exploring different culinary experiences. He is passionate about football, and in particular a big supporter of Liverpool Football Club and Collingwood.

Profile

Donna has over 15 years of experience working as a paralegal and legal assistant.  Her previous roles have primarily been in litigation, but also include event management and HR roles within the legal industry. She has worked in both the private sector and government firms – including Rigby Cooke, Lander & Rogers, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Clayton Utz and Australian Government Solicitor. She has also worked at Clifford Chance in London. 

Donna enjoys building relationships and getting to know solicitors, judges and clients. She has excellent organisational skills and values the importance of communication – using both of these skillsets to produce great, consistent results.

Outside of work, she enjoys Melbourne’s vibrant arts scene, travelling, reading, and all things vintage and design.  

Lia joins Foley’s List with experience in commercial and criminal legal sectors based in London, England.

Lia started her legal career at 4 Pump Court (London) before moving onto Quadrant Chambers (London), where she gained invaluable experience as a clerk while working under various leading Silks, Juniors and other Senior Clerks. She is excited to get stuck in and build on new connections.

Lia’s personal interests lie within commercial and shipping law, specifically dry shipping. In her free time, she plays soccer for a state 3 league team and likes to see what new recipes she can try out on the weekend.

Jessica is a young, up-and-coming marketer who considers her greatest weapons to be her cheerful energy and her passion for learning. 

With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, she has worked with several small and medium businesses at a digital marketing agency before joining Foley's List. Her work has mostly been to optimise her clients’ online presence: primarily through social media, web design, content creation, and market research.

Jess’s interests in storytelling and writing also propel her marketing skills as she’s adept in finding – or creating – the subtle nuanced messages in any media. With a keen eye on the latest marketing trends, she is well-versed in synthesising the practical side of market analytics with a dash of creativity and innovation.

In her free time, Jess enjoys creative fiction and painting, as well as designing digital puzzle adventures.

Just graduated with a Bachelor of Media, Chau is a young and emerging marketing professional who regards herself as a cheerful and passionate individual in pursuit of personal growth.

Chau meticulous attention to detail and love for learning means she approaches her work with precision and seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills, ensuring high quality results and a constant drive for improvement. She has a keen eye for social media interfaces and trends and is always on top of socials and creatives.  

Outside of work, she enjoys the food scene in Melbourne and eating out with friends and family. She also loves music and movies.

Profile

Lisa commenced with Foley’s in 1996 working in the mailroom and then on the switchboard, before progressing to accounts. This variety of roles has given her the opportunity to interact with a wide range of people and to observe and participate in the modernisation of the clerking services.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys gardening, learning to renovate, and researching family history. She plans to commence an Arts/History degree in the near future.

Lisa has a born and bred love for the Geelong Football Club and she is looking forward to retirement on a small farm with a variety of rescue animals and a big fruit and veggie patch.

Profile

Keary came to Foley’s five years ago from an accounts and office services background within the public sector. During this time, he excelled in the daily operations and procedures of office management, end to end accounting, and administration.

Keary has developed a strong working relationship with all of Foley’s barristers; as well as with solicitors, paralegals and legal assistants he regularly liaises with, ensuring the accounts clerking service is operating seamlessly.

In his spare time, Keary can be found spending time with family, enjoying a round of golf or playing footy

Amanda is a happy, positive person who has primarily worked in an accounts role, with additional experience as a legal secretary and receptionist.

She has been working in the legal industry since 2011 and has been heavily involved with Trust accounts throughout her career. She came to Foley’s List in 2019 after moving to Victoria, where she has built strong relationships with clients, solicitors, and Foley’s barristers.

A healthy and fit lifestyle is important to Amanda. Outside of work, she can be found weight training in the gym or exploring the beautiful places Victoria has to offer. She also enjoys going gold detecting.

Amanda has recently joined Foley's List as her first role in the legal field. She has worked as an Operations Specialist & Business Specialist at Telstra, with a focus on people leadership, customer relations and sustainability initiatives.  

Amanda holds a degree in Criminology and Psychology and is working through her Bachelor of Laws currently. 

Outside of work, Amanda's priorities are in appreciating nature through hikes and looking after her veggie patch.

Eleni has worked at Foleys for 7 years where she worked at front reception desk and is now the switchboard operator and you can hear her voice answering Foleys calls in a professional and inviting friendly manner and has built strong relationships with clients, soliciitors and Foleys barristers.

Eleni came to Foleys after working at Lander & Rogers before this Eleni worked at the Homicide Squad for 10 years which she left to travel and live overseas.

Outside of work Eleni likes to maintain a healthy lifestyle, keeping active and enjoying the most of all Melbourne has to offer.

Coming from a 16yr hospitality background in New Zealand,
Matt has worked at Foley’s for over 10yrs.
Outside work he enjoys motorsport and photography.

Jess comes to Foley’s after having worked in the legal profession for over 12 years. Employed in various roles to date, Jess commenced at the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions and continued as a legal assistant working in litigation at Corrs Chambers Westgarth. In addition to this, Jess also assisted providing 1:1 support at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and additionally providing assisting two members of the bar within the Ninian Stephen Chambers. 

Jess has gained international legal experience travelling to Symbiosis University in India to complete International Commercial Law and additionally has undertaken International Dispute Resolution at the Government Law College in Sri Lanka.  

Beginning with a Bachelor of Legal Studies, Jess now pursues law and is currently enrolled in the Juris Doctor. Jess is an active member of the Law Students Association and enjoys participating in Mooting for her University.  

Jess is commercially astute and has demonstrated exceptional abilities in administration, legal support, research, and document drafting. In the upcoming year, Jess looks forward to making a meaningful contribution to the Bar and the members on Foley's List. Outside of work, Jess enjoys the beach and yoga. She also loves to cook with Indian cooking her speciality.  

Nineb is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws at RMIT University, with a special interest in commercial. He was a committee member of RMIT Law Students’ Society, and a paralegal in a simulated RMIT legal office. Nineb’s current role at Foley’s is his first in the legal industry.

Nineb can be described as a hard-working individual who is eager to learn. He is a reliable addition to the Administration Team for his friendly energy and aspiration for personal growth.

Prior to Foley’s, he was a sales associate and visual merchandiser at designer store, Bally, where he entertained his passion for fashion and personal styling. Outside of work, Nineb enjoys cooking and anything fitness including running, dancing and functional pattern training.
