Tamara Young (B.A.(Hons), LL.B.(Hons)) was admitted in 2004 and signed the Bar Roll in 2008. She completed articles at Minter Ellison where she gained experience in taxation, banking and finance and commercial law. In 2005 Tamara was Associate to Justice North of the Federal Court of Australia undertaking research in a variety of areas including immigration and criminal (extradition) matters. She returned to practice as a solicitor at Minter Ellison in the taxation group. She then joined Freehills in the mergers and acquisitions team. Immediately prior to coming to the Bar Tamara was a solicitor with Cornwall Stodart Lawyers where she specialised in corporate and commercial law. During that time she advised clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance and taxation. Tamara has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Skills and Ethics at Monash University.
