Larissa Andelman (LL.B., M. Comm.) was admitted to practice in NSW in 2003 (in Victoria in 2004) and signed the Bar Roll in March 2006. Prior to signing the Bar Roll, Larissa was an In House Counsel at one of the largest national unions, Community and Public Sector Union where she worked on many large and complex industrial and discrimination disputes across a broad range of industries and across Australia. Larissa has extensive industrial and discrimination law experience. She is also experienced in Occupational Health and Safety disputes and the Commonwealth workers compensation scheme (Comcare). Since coming to the Bar, Larissa has appeared in all major jurisdictions including the Federal Court, the Federal Magistrates Court, the Supreme Court, the County Court, the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Magistrates Court. She is an accredited mediator and has broad experience in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, conciliation and arbitration. At the Bar Larissa has appeared on appeals and as well as in her employment practice. She also has a practice in commercial disputes, restraint of trade, independent contracts and criminal matters.
