Catherine Gobbo (B.A., LL.B.(HONS), LL.M.) was admitted to practice in 2000 and signed the Bar Roll in 2004. Before coming to the Bar, she was a Senior Associate in the commercial litigation and insolvency department at Gadens Lawyers. Catherine has broad experience acting for corporate and institutional clients in a variety of litigious matters dealing with contractual disputes, corporations law matters, corporate insolvency, directors’ disputes, trade practices, banking litigation, and professional negligence. She has also conducted a wide range of proceedings in most jurisdictions including appearances in the Magistrates, County, Supreme and Federal Courts and various lists at V.C.A.T. Catherine has also completed a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne where her studies focused on advanced issues in litigation, evidence, corporate governance and equity.
