Sandra G MacDougall (B.A.; LLB (Hons.)) was admitted to practise law in April 1996. She read with Danny Masel and signed the Bar Roll on 23 November 2000.

Before coming to the Bar she was articled to Ronald C. Beazley, Victorian Government Solicitor.

Sandra spent nearly 5 years as a solicitor in the Litigation Branch of the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office.

Her practice included matters relating to charities, personal injuries, torts other than personal injuries, defamation, interpleaders, Crimes (Family Violence) matters, Coronial Inquests, land valuation and compensation and alleged police assaults.

In addition to running a busy practice in general litigation, Sandra also assisted in resolution of civil litigation arising out of a major police raid and was responsible for co-ordinating the case on behalf of the Correctional Services Commissioner at the Port Phillip inquest.

Sandra is experienced in a wide range of government-related work including Sheriff's and police interpleaders, defending civil claims against police, coronial inquests, corrections issues and judicial review of administrative decisions.

Both as a solicitor and as counsel, she has appeared regularly in interlocutory applications in the Supreme and County Courts.
