Allana Goldsworthy (B.A., LL.B.) was admitted to practice in 1981 and after 20 years as a solicitor she joined the Bar in 2001.

As a solicitor in Geelong she worked extensively in the Family Law field. Her practice incorporated many areas of law including adoption, surrogacy, debt collection, litigation, administrative and planning law, and crimes compensation.

Her work at the bar has seen the development of her practice in the above areas, and she has a particular interest in children's cases, appearing for the child representative and providing advices where required in family law matters.

Allana appears in Melbourne courts, and on circuit, including Geelong and Ballarat.

Allana qualified as a mediator in 1994 and in 1995 she instigated the formation of the Barwon Family Law Mediation Group as a referral source for mediation in Geelong. She is an Accredited Mediator for the Victorian Bar. She conducts many mediations in family law matters and court referred matters.

Allana has had extensive involvement with community organisations and served as a Councillor with the City of Greater Geelong immediately before coming to the Bar and gained insight and experience into local government and planning issues affecting the community.
