Maria Corbisiero (B.BSc., B.SW., LL.B. (Hons)) commenced practice in December 1995 as a solicitor in all facets of employment and industrial relations law, as well as discrimination and occupational health and safety law. She signed the Bar Roll in 2000. Prior to practising as solicitor, Maria worked as a social worker predominantly in the areas of family violence involving management of accommodation and support services. Maria has also worked in the area of equal opportunity and affirmative action at La Trobe University which included policy development and implementation, conciliation of complaints and anti-discrimination education and training. Maria's diverse professional background means that she brings to the Bar an attitude to practice that is informed by practical experience at the "coal face" and the day-to-day issues faced by management and individuals within organisations.
