Norman O'Bryan AM S.C. (B.A. (Hons.), LL.B. (Hons.),
B.C.L.)
was admitted in Victoria in 1984 and signed the Bar Roll in 1993. He has held a Vinerian Scholarship and Rhodes Scholarship and won the Solicitors' Prize and the Supreme Court Prize. He is a member of the Law Council of Australia, the Australian Bar Association and the International Bar Association, and has written various articles and comments on company and securities law and "Securities Legislation" Laws of Australia. He is also admitted to practice in N.S.W., Queensland, S.A., the A.C.T., and Federal Courts. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2000.

Between 2000 and 2003, he was Senior Counsel assisting the HIH Royal Commission.
