Profile

Sharon practices in all areas of health law with a background of extensive training and experience in medicine. She has practiced at The Victorian Bar since 2004 in common law personal injury proceedings in the County Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of Victoria, the Coroners Court of Victoria and in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal in disciplinary matters regarding health professionals, including:

Sharon graduated in first place in medicine at the University of Melbourne and was awarded the A.H. Wall Prize as best intern at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She undertook training in paediatrics and clinical genetics at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, The Institute for Medical Genetics in Cardiff, Wales and Genetic Health Services Victoria. Sharon was a National Health and Medical Research Council Scholar whilst undertaking doctoral studies in molecular neurogenetics at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Melbourne between 1995 and 1999. Sharon completed the Juris Doctor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Melbourne in 2002 and 2003.
