Erin Ramsay has extensive experience in criminal law having practised as a criminal law advocate since 2006. Erin appears in County Court trials, pleas and appeals as well as regularly appearing in the Magistrates’ Court. She is a Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial preferred barrister. Erin is also an accredited specialist criminal law advocate under the Victorian Bar's Indictable Crime Certificate program.

Erin has also appeared as junior counsel in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Whilst she practises predominately in criminal law her practise extends to quasi-criminal matters. She regularly appears for Respondents in contested applications under the Serious Sex Offenders (Detention and Supervision) Act 2009.

In 2011 Erin was one of fourteen barristers selected to participate in VLA’s Talented Junior Counsel Program.

Additionally, she has undertaken cultural awareness training provided by Kellawan Indigenous Consultants for persons who are members of Aboriginal communities.
