Profile

Joshua practises primarily in corporate and commercial law. He has experience in corporations, insolvency (corporate and personal), equity and trust, banking and finance, property law and professional indemnity law.  He regularly advises and appears in:

  • setting aside statutory demands and opposing winding up applications;
  • setting aside bankruptcy notices and opposing creditor petitions;
  • voidable transaction proceedings (such as unfair preference claims, uncommercial transactions, unreasonable director related transactions);
  • breach of director duties proceedings;
  • public examinations;
  • oppression proceedings;
  • corporate and personal security enforcement proceedings;
  • judgment debt enforcement proceedings;
  • professional indemnity proceeding (legal practitioners, liquidators, accountants and auditors);
  • partnership disputes; and
  • sale of business disputes.

Joshua is an author of Butterworths “Bankruptcy Law and Practice” and has completed a Master of Laws focusing on the effectiveness of Australian voluntary administration laws.

In 2017 and 2016, Joshua was named by Doyles Guide in the category of “Leading Insolvency and Restructuring Junior Counsel.”

Joshua regularly appears in the Supreme Court and the Federal in VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD and WA.
