Annette Kaitinis was admitted to practice in Tasmania and Victoria in 1997 and signed the Bar Roll in April 2004. Prior to being admitted, Annette was an Associate to the late Honourable Justice Peter Underwood of the Supreme Court of Tasmania (the former Governor of Tasmania).
Annette commenced her career in litigation at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and in 2001 was appointed a senior associate. She worked on a wide range of commercial matters including contractual disputes, Corporations Law, public liability, trade practices, insurance, local government planning and building control and financial securities litigation.
In 2010 Annette left the Victorian Bar and was appointed special counsel at Gadens to manage a Banking and Finance practice for a partner on leave specialising in back end security enforcement, possession and mortgagee sales.
Since signing the Bar Roll Annette has appeared in most jurisdictions such as the Magistrates' Court, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, County Court, Supreme Court, Federal Court, Federal Magistrates' Court and the Australian Industrial Relations Commission. See for example:
Annette is also completing a Master of Laws (LLM) and has studied subjects focusing on Corporations Law such as Shareholder Remedies, Insolvency and Restructuring, Financial Services and Managed Investment Schemes.
Since 2004 Annette has been an instructor at the Leo Cussen Institute teaching advocacy, enforcement and civil procedure.
