Lesley Taylor is a criminal and human rights barrister.

Additionally, Lesley has an international practice in criminal and humanitarian law. In 2004 and 2005 she was the Senior Trial Counsel at the Office of The Prosecutor at the Special Court for Sierra Leone in Freetown, where she was in charge of two of the three trials then before the court. In 2006 Lesley was appointed by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights as the Senior Legal Advisor to the Special Independent Commission of Inquiry into Timor L'este in Dili. In 2011 Lesley was appointed Senior Legal Advisor to the Independent International Commission of Inquiry into June 2010 Events in Southern Kyrgyzstan, working in both Kyrgyzstan and Helsinki.

Lesley is a Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial Preferred barrister.
