Heather Gordon was admitted to practice and signed the Bar Roll in May, 1993. Prior to commencing tertiary study, Heather was employed in the legal profession from about 1964 working as a secretary/personal assistant. In 1970, she commenced employment with Mary Cameron of Stedman, Cameron, Meares & Hall as Mary's private secretary.

From about 1971, Heather commenced working in that firm as a managing law clerk under the supervision of her principals. This led to her retaining her own clients, briefing counsel, instructing counsel at court in these matters which included trials.   

From 1979, Heather lived in Canberra where she commenced tertiary studies. She then returned to Melbourne where she completed her legal studies at The University of Melbourne. She returned to work on a part-time then full-time basis at Stedman, Cameron, Meares & Hall (then Stedman Cameron) until Admission in 1988.

Heather came to the Victorian Bar in 1993 and read with David Brown of Counsel, now Senior Counsel.
