Philip Barton (BA, LLM) was admitted in Victoria in 1976 and signed the Bar Roll in 1978.
He has written articles on Company Liquidation (1981, Australian Business Law Review), Property Law (1987, Australian Law Journal), Land Valuation & Compensation (1994, The Valuer and Land Economist), and in the Law Institute Journal on: Mortgages/Leases (1995), Removal of Restrictive Covenants (2006), and Caveats (2008 and 2009); Testators Family Maintenance (1998 and 2004); Town Planning (two articles in 1998 and one in 2008); Urgent Injunctions (2002); and The jurisdiction of Victorian Courts and Tribunals (2003). He formerly wrote "Provision of Information and Advice by Local Government" and "Enforcement by and against Municipalities" (Butterworths' Court Forms, Precedents and Pleadings, Victoria).
Philip is the joint legal editor of the Victorian Planning Reports.
He completed the Bond University Dispute Resolution Centre Advanced Mediation Course in 2004.
